Yep, I wanted the Sacks style. He actually has discussed TG in a few different articles, and we've read them in past years! I wanted something new/different. We ended up reading the Aish article posted here - very short and thought-provoking and meaningful. Thanks to the poster of that article.

I'm very well read on Sacks, and he definitely made all sorts of references to American political, historical, cultural, etc. stuff. He quoted de Tocqueville's Democracy in America a number of times.
