Did you fast the day of your wedding?

nope, did not fast. I am a terrible faster, I get migraines and so, we got married in the afternoon, so I did not fast. I ate something and drank something so that I would not faint or get a very very bad headache durign the chuppah.

I fasted. And our wedding was 2 days after Tisha B'av so it was the 2nd fast that week.

Dh had to break his fast on water during the afternoon before the wedding because his father took him for a walk in the heat of the day in August in Yershalayim (there was a reason, but dh was bitter about it for a long time, he might still be).

nope, I was tpld not to fast that day, cus tahtday broughtover a majour chamsin... heatwave. we got that psak then from the leibish of antwerp.. my father was very close to him... I think they may beven be related...

I didn't officially fast as I got married on Rosh Chodesh, but I forgot about eating until my stomach rumbled AFTER I had got my make-up, so I ended up pulling little pieces out of a sandwich that I could eat without touching my lips!

I fasted, and very well, too!
I used to be so good with fasting until I got pregnant with my 1st.
Now... shock

I am terrified of the 2 fasts a year I must keep.

Okay, back to the topic...the fast on my wedding day was the hardest ever...because I was a major caffeine addict then and the photographer was yelling at me...and it was the first and last time I've ever had my eyebrows plucked (Ouch!) How do you ladies do that...it hurts!

So then I'll trade my contractions for your Tisha b'av fast..I do not have to fast twice. I just fast yours...and you get my contractions.

this is just lending, but will we have to sign a contract for the contractions or is it not a contractural agreement?

I started out fasting and wound up breaking it sometime during the day. I wasn't feeling well and I asked my rav if I could break it. He said "yes". I think my husband hasn't gotten over it till this day. He's big into fasting...

I had bronchitis and was put on very heavy antibiotics so I was able to eat with the antibiotics only. The doctor gave me strong antibiotics b/c we told him that I was getting married in a few days . he didn't want me to be sick at my wedding.

I'm a horrible faster. I spend yom kippur in bed...well, make that the first part of the day, anyway (don't ask what happens the latter part of the day Puke

). So I intentionally scheduled our wedding for chanukah. And then, ironies...I didn't have time for breakfast or lunch! But I did at least drink all day. Either way, the caterer brought us a great selection of stuff in the yichud room - all from the shmorgasbord that was going on at the same time (we didn't have food before the ceremony but rather after to keep people entertained while we took pictures).

We both fasted until we got to the yichud room. The caterer had asked us ahead of time what we wanted. I chose something I could eat quickly without mess and that would give me energy for dancing - sushi! Dh wanted pasta, which is one of his favorite food groups.
