I haven't actually put a scoop of Materna in my coffee cup (or made my daughter instant coffee in her bottle) but I've come pretty close to doing both quite a few times. |
You are just ASKING for it with this set-up!
We'll watch for your upcoming post about how you finally went and did it... your baby got the coffee and you got a nice hot cup of Materna.

I measured out some soymilk into a measuring cup, actually poured the milk where it belonged LOL, and then stood there stupidly staring at the measuring cup wondering how in the world it had gotten dirty.

Last night while in shower I scrubbed my head with body soap and then poured head & shoulders on the sponge to wash my body.....
I was obviously tired...

Put DD to sleep without a diaper (she had been trying on underwear for the fun of it - she's not toilet trained yet - but I was sure I had changed her into a diaper) and wondered why her crib, blanket, pjs, etc were all wet.

A relative gets very distracted, so once at supper she was talking to someone and poured her drink into her pasta....
I ate some crumbs from a plate, walked towards the bin and sink, threw my plate in the bin, washed my hands, noticed the plate and it took me until this morning to 'chap' why I'd chucked it when I only had one item. I must have been wanting to give a good shake for the last few crumbs..
Today I found the phone, sat looking at it for ages until I'd worked out why I'd wanted it. All I vaguely remembered was that I wasn't going to speak to a person, and I didn't need to press buttons. That really boggled me. Turns out I had to call an answerphone and leave a message.

I took my cold cuts out of the freezer last thursday night to take upstairs, and then couldnt find them in the morning.....good thing they were frozen
I left the garage door open two night in a row, although I could almost swear I had picked my son up to close it both times.....
I forgot that I had a pot of spaghetti on the stove, and all the water evaporated out and the spaghetti got burned.....

Boiled eggs. Left them out to cool before refrigerating them. Left them out to cool THE WHOLE NIGHT!
Hope my trash can (and the cats) like hard boiled eggs.

On chol hamoed, I couldn't find my car key, so I used the spare key. My kids found my key and returned it to me while I was still in the car. I put the spare key down in the car-to bring in the house later.
Motzei Y"T we ran out to be menachem avel to s/o who was only sitting shiva here for a couple hours (they were headed home to complete shiva there). We pulled up in front of the house-in a bit of a rush, and I got out of the car, pushed down the lock button, closed the door, and realized I left the keys in the car with the motor running!
And guess where the spare key was -still????

On erev YT, while doing about a zillion other things, I saw a huge jar of helman's mayo that someone bought for me at Cosco and left on the counter. I was majorly annoyed at having to find the place for this mammoth of a jar at such a time, grabbed it and ...successfully forgot where I hid it. The entire family has been looking for the thing for a week, I thought I checked all likely and unlikely places, until I found it today in my basement fridge's vegetable bin.

I put my daughter to sleep forgetting that I had given her a large piece of chocolate. As I was crawling into bed with my laptop, I peek over to see if DD is asleep, and I let out a very loud shriek. "Why on earth would my daughter have poop all over her hands.!!!" I woke her up frantically realizing a little too late that it was the chocolate she had fallen asleep with. Woooosh! (She's still whimpering in bed. I freaked her out!)

hey stayci, ure not freaked out about the chocolate everywhere? I mean poop is bad, but chocolate stains… lol!!
ive had so many brainless moments. ill do one for now. I boiled my eggs for shabbos once, and boiled them… and boiled them… and boiled them…Next thing u know, they're on the ceiling. so after totally freaking out, and yelling at pretty much everyone, I put up some more eggs to boil. in a new pot. and a timer. long story short, I spent a long time picking pieces of egg off my kitchen walls. and ceiling. and pretty much everywhere.
moral of the story? don't watch american idol while boiling eggs.

5 days out of 7 I have to ask DH to find my glasses because I can't see. Almost always it has just fallen off the bedside table...
Also, for any techys out there, this is what I did at work yesterday. I don't feel so guilty about it, just completely embarrassed...During reinitialising an application I restarted and completely destroyed the database, thus halving the amount of work my team can actually do today.
