I know a Russian Jewish woman who just had a baby. Although married to an Italian-Catholic, the baby had a bris. I wonder whether this baby is supposed to have a pidyon ha'ben. Anybody know?
I have no personal information about her like whether she may have had a miscarriage previously. I'm just wondering about Jewish mother - gentile father ...

I would think so, since the declaration of the father is that this is the first-born child "le'imo hayisrieilis". Since the father is certainly not a kohen or a levi, why shouldn't the child need a pidyon? (Unless the woman knows that her father is a kohen or levi.)
