My daughter once took an appliance to school when I specifically told her that she can't take it and broke it. I told her she needs to buy a new one. It cost in the range of $40.

What. As far as I can glean from Sage's two posts, they bought their daughter a wallet she wanted, for Chanukah. She wasn't careful with it and lost it. They explained that they will get her a new wallet because she needs a wallet, but it won't be that (presumably fancier or more expensive) one. She rly wanted that one tho so on her own she saved up for it and got it again.

Sage, correct me if I was wrong or if there was additional info, thanks!

No. As I said, it was a chanukah gift. She saved up for the replacement after she lost it.
