WhatsApp groups are limited to 256 members. What may work better is WhatsApp status. Both you and the WhatsApp group admin save each other in the phone contacts and then you can view their status. Some groups offering statuses are YWN, Kol Haolam, Belaaz News, PZ Deals, Raizy's Cookin'. My two favorites are Between Carpools and N'shei News. N'shei News status especially is great! Subscribe at 9172467511.

My dh recently signed onto k-fork. It's only status. If you like new recipes this is for you. It's recipes ppl send it. I love watching it. I don't have WhatsApp so I can't sign on.

This thread is so interesting, I never thought of WhatsApp as a social media app but more of a communication app. I use it to keep in touch with the people in my life, I have groups with family friends coworkers and neighbors. Sometimes we just chat sometimes it’s more functional but I never thought to consider WhatsApp as entertainment or even info-taiment like Facebook Twitter or even Telegram. It’s interesting how it serves different functions in different societies.

Contact them on Whatsapp with their phone number, and say you want to join, save the number in contacts. Some groups are only status
