Right the question wasn't about his last name. I only know of one on Torah anytime. Regardless less talk about him and pray for good news

Absolutely. That was my point. No need to speculate, just focus on davening, hopefully for a neis, but at least for nechamah for the family, at least for a way for his wife and children to go on with their lives.

Update I just got:

Good morning. This is Rabbi Haber with an update. There has been no further news overnight. The coast guard and other agencies have searched through the night and continue to search now. Achiezer is working closely with the command center and is poised both to assist them and to coordinate resources to take over the search if necessary. Please continue to daven for Hashem’s help and that he give koach to everyone involved.

There is a segula of putting two breads on a raft and putting it into the water. It makes the body come to shore.

Iirc they did it when the fil and sil were swept away in Canada a few years ago.

Something of this sort was done in California when something similar happened 10 years back. After days of searching this finally brought the body afloat.
I don’t remember the details but this sounds familiar.

According to YWN those reports aren't true.

And even if it were - there are many other skilled groups partaking in the search aside from the coast guard.

I believe that if there’s a chance that the person is alive, then they continue searching.

but if they know with certainty ( naturally obviously) that the person isn’t alive anymore than they stop.
