That's not very nice. If other people figure out that she's the same poster, good for them, but you had no right to announce it, or to give her away.
I knew, but had the good sense not to announce it. It's kinda obvious that Sara didn't want people on this site to know her plans at this point.

Not obvious to me at all. Obvious to me that saraG was trying to tantalize people (look up the legend of Tantalus--it's not pretty), which is NOT a nice thing to do. If saraG really wanted to keep her plans under wraps, all she had to do was say "I'm decluttering" instead of giving out coy hints--some of which, as is clear from the posts, led people to believe distressing things. face it, few of us say "whatever the Abishter does is for the best" when the news is good.

It was not about not being nice or trying to reveal her identiity. Anybody could have figured out her name on frumspace as her posts are practically identical. When you frequent a few boards it is usually obvious who are the same posters from another board, even when they use different names. You definitely don't hide it in your posts. I was not trying to be nasty, but her posts were an immature cry for attention. If she wanted to make a game of it she should have explicitly said it was good news when making comments like - the abishter.... I never thought she was dying, but it seems many people did. Talk about not being nice.

I am confused, what is the big deal that she was giving stuff away and that she wanted some attention which I dont see. she was getting rid of things from her house that she no longer needs and this forum is huge so a lot of people would help her by taking some of the stuff. she doesnt have to tell us anything but she did, perhaps she chose the wrong words of how to say it but I dont see what the big deal is. and I dont see whats wrong with wanting some attention. if she is making aliya than it is a big deal because its a huge step and it isnt easy. if she is moving to a new home than mazal tov and its awesome. all the best sarag

I don't know why I'm putting in my 2 cents here, maybe I'm just tired, but here goes:
By virtue of the fact that she was posting it here, its obvious nothing terrible was happening to her. So she just wanted a laugh. why grudge her that?
I say kol hakavod, sara, that you were able to post such phrases for kicks- "laugh and the world laughs with you, cry, and cry alone."
