Why can't she just let me chill? I mean I work allll day. I work hard. And when I come home I just want alone time with my computer or a book.
She says she needs alone time too to decompress after her work day but she has been with the kids since they came home from school today. I mean isn't that fun and relaxing? When I sit with them at the shabbos meal it's so nice to hear their dvrei Torah. What could be so exhausting and draining about homework?

Guys. I need your help.
My wife just informed me that she is taking a few minutes to unwind and asked me to please please help her out with whatever is needed.
I asked her " what do you need help with?" and she answered me " I don't have energy to be specific. For once just see and do"
So guys, what can she need help with? The house looks totally ok.

Do you have kids? Do you know how many? Take a count. Find them. Do they look happy/ sad? Do any of them smell? Maybe need a clean diaper or bath. Do you think any might be hungry? Offer a bottle or food (depends on age). Older kids might need homework help. After checking kids look in kitchen sink(s). Do you see dirty dishes? Get rid of them. If you see any obvious dirt on floor, pizza crusts, chicken bones, apple cores, soggy tissues or large unidentifiable items throw them out.
That just about covers everything. You deserve a medal, two if you thought of taking out the garbage before you read this far.

My mom. She was obsessed with raising sons who would be good husbands and fathers. She drilled the don’t leave your socks on the floor into us when we were barely old enough to walk to the hamper. I don’t know what she thought she was accomplishing. Dw loves my mom exactly as much as all her friends love their mil’s maybe less. And I’m scarred for life I can’t go to sleep if there are dirty dishes in the sink.

Ok. You were a lifeasver!! I tried my best to DO as much as I SAW!!
The look on my DWs face when she exited her room after reading for ONE HOUR.
I saw a mix of surprise and shock with a huge smile and a deep breath!! ( I think it was a pasted smile)
Now I hear her yapping with her mom, laughing at what a great husband I am and how I helped her like such a man!! I mean I put everything from the floor onto the counter as I wasn't sure whats garbage and what isn't, and didnt want to upset her by throwing out important stuff.
Women are funny!!

Reminds me of the time my husband sweetly threw out a huge bag of linen I had put aside to be ironed. Didn't have anything big enough to hold it all, so I put it in a garbage bag, on the dining room table. He tried to help by taking out the "garbage". Only a man wouldn't wonder what a bag of garbage could be doing on the dining room table, wide open, with freshly smelling linen inside. No?

she complains to me that I get it all wrong when I try to entertain the kids, and I feel like I'm doing it all good, that it's Not what that kids needs just then - cant I see he/she needs more tlc, not just entertainment. what exactly does she mean by that?

This thread is hilarious but IMHO the entire premise is false. I don't think there would be imamother threads with a male twist anywhere. Men don't think that way. They don't think from a relationship connection place the way we do. They don't dwell on he said she said the same way. And BTW, I am married to my best friend so I mean this will all the love and respect in my heart.

I thanked DW for washing the utensil I used last night. I didn't even mention that it was a little dirty inside and just washed it again.
(I am actually really proud of DH I know how hard it must have been for him to not say anything. I saw him washing it again but he didn't know I was in the room)
