kikavu, I think boys sizes/ girls sizes are bigger in general. So a 3-6 month boys is actually made bigger to for a boy. I know with ds I realized this especially as the sizes get bigger. dd could fit into his clothes even hough officially she wore a bigger size

My daughter is 7 months old and she JUST started wearing 3-6 month clothes. She is about 15 lbs.

my son is 14 lbs 12 oz & is still doing quite nicely in 3-6. if only he wasn't so long, he'd probably last longer in it.

earrings - any jewelry store will pierce it for you and they offer special newborn styles to choose form. Costs about $45 with the piercing all together.
