1 (10 oz.) bag chopped onions, or 2 large onion sliced
1 chicken, about 3.5 lbs., cut into 8 pieces
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup coca-cola
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apricot jam
1 Tbsp soy sauce

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Place onions on prepared pan.
Rinse chicken and pat dry; arrange on top of onions.
Season chicken with garlic powder.
In a medium bowl, place coca-cola, ketchup, apricot jam, and soy sauce. Mix well.
Pour coca-cola mixture over chicken and bake, uncovered, at 375' for 1 hour and 15 minutes or 1 hours and 30 minutes. Serve warm.

can you use chicken cutlets instead of regular chicken and how long to bake for if doing so.

Probably, though I would say that you would need much less sauce for chicken breasts, and only about 25 minutes of baking time.
It would probably be even better if you grill the breast in a grill pan, heat up the sauce in a small saucepan, and the pour the hot sauce over the grilled chicken.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have another similar yummy recipe that always comes out yum.

1 roast (any kind)
smear onion soup mix all over the top
Squeeze ketchup all over the top
3/4 bottle of coke (can be diet too!)

Bake 2 hours covered.

Bon Apetit!
