Are you still able to learn with little children (and/or big) to care for? Can you get out to a shiur? For the Lubavitchers on board - are you able to say daily Chitas (Chumash, Tehillim, Tanya), learn daily Rambam?
any advice? suggestions?
here's one idea - there are shiurim on the phone that are just a local call
many large Lub. communities have a local phone number so you can hear shiurim on parsha, Rambam, Tanya, yomim tovim, Moshiach, stories, any time
you can also use the phone like a tape recorder and forward, rewind, pause, and so you can continue listening to something later, it's really amazing
and if you have a speaker-phone, you can wash dishes and cook while listening, hands-free

Motek, that is great advice. The women on this site like this type of conversation ( try to stay in this tone of advice ) I am serious and I hope I don't sound sarcastic.

I like that, or listen to a tape when in the car or doing laundry etc.

many big communities have Jewish Radio at certain stations or at certain times of the day with shiurim, stories, or just some jewish music.

I used to go to a shiur every week before I had my son but now I don't go coz I work too late and need to look after him. I prefer actually going to a shiur than just hearing it on a tape or phone coz then you get more involved and you can ask questions.

jewishaudio.org also is a good website. I heard that if you can't say the whole Chitas, to say at least a little from each-Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya.

IT's really frustrating to me sometimes that I can't go to shiurim - both because there is very little intense, high level learning in my community and then when there is can't leave the kids. When I was becoming frum I learned full time and my daughter was with a babysitter. But what I do now:
I have a chevrusa on the phone once a week through www.partnersintorah.org
Try to learn with my husband, either review what he is learning or learn some halacha
My MP3 player - I got a tape adapter and can listen to it in the car, it's only a few minutes at a time but better than nothing, I download shiurim from the internet (would love to hear of sites to download free mp3 files)
does reviewiing the parsha with my preschooler count?
