There are special uniform shops for that, there's one on brent street, hendon.
Are you shopping at M&S cos u get it delivered to out of town? cos, then I doubt these other places have that facility.
(you can pm me if you'd like me to help you...)

ladybird skirts go over the knee, I assume the dresses also do.

m&s ones never fit my dds. they are mostly meant to go over the knees - if you look at the pics of kids wearing them you will see they stop just above the knee.

I think origianally it was a woolworths brand, but now they have their own shops and are also in department stores - try debenhams.

The shop metukah mentioned is probably Uniform4Kids. US schools like Northwest or Sobel Sinai or Moriah use uniform from them but they are not particularly tzniusdik. (Skirts mainly at the knee, rather than below knee). Also they are not the cheapest IMO. You might have a better luck with pinafores as they tend to come a bit longer, at least for my DD.
Aside from M&S, John Lewis has good schoolwear selection. Have you also checked Asda's George brand? If you're near Costco they occasionally have children's clothes (though haven't had success with skirts, mostly shirts and trousers for my son).

Have you tried BHS? I've bought dresses from there, but it was quite a few years ago so I don't know what their stuff is like now.
There's a woman in Manchester who sells skirts from her house. I don't know if she does pinafores too. Let me know if you want her number. (
She's a lovely lady, really nice to deal with)

When I was in lubavitch (a long time ago now) we had to buy our uniforms from a shop on Brent Street, I assume the same one. They were long grey accordian pleated skirts. Well below the knee. I don't know if they still get from there.
