DS of 11 yrs has a very hard time w/ sweaty feet, but I can't find a decent open winter shoe for him.
Any suggestions?

Up until now he wore a ricosta t-strap, but it's only till size 34 and he outgrew it already. Anybody w/ this issue? I really need help here. TIA

Have you spoken with his doctor about treatments that can reduce his problem? Made sure that he's wearing socks that wick away the moisture, along with moisture-wicking insoles (not synthetic or leather)?
Other than that, I'd suggest looking at Geox. They supposedly let the foot breathe.

First make sure his socks are 100% cotton and then go buy him some geox shoes.

Cotton will absorb perspiration, but leave his feet feeling clammy. He needs something that will wick the perspriration away, like wool.

my son always has sweaty feet. I got geox and it has the ventiilation holes on the bottom so that def helps. also make sure u get the leather kind so it breathes better, not all theirs are leather...try nordstrom or even the rack.

thanks y'all, I went to the store today, they said geox isn't good 'cause it's made of synthtic materials. instead I got a leather lined leather t-strap that they still had left from the summer at a discount from $72 to $45!

Question: Did your children have negative repercussions from sweaty feet? When I mentioned it to my ped (my 2 year old has them, and his shoes are leather if anyone cares) he said it's only a problem if it causes eczema (he didn't even think athlete's foot was so common just based on this condition)....so I haven't really done anything about it.
