my son has a mild form of tourrettes. I have seen a dr. and a neurologist who both have given me a prescription for medication. B"H he's still young and it has not affected him too much (the tourrettes) for various reasons I'd prefer to try something alternative before giving him the medication.
I just don't know what path to take.
I've given him vitamins but because he is young it is very hard to stay consistent with the vitamins. has anyone had success doing something alternative to help their child? what/who would you suggest.

anyone???
I'm completely lost with alternative medicine, so let me rephrase my question:
does anyone use alternative medicine/dr. for their children? if yes, who and why
thank you!

yes, some use alternative medicine for children. one of my close friends has brought her baby there since she was born. we go to a chiropractor who does all sorts of treatments - chiropractics, applied kinesthesiology, and homeopathics. make sure to go with someone who comes highly recommended and has been practicing for a long time, because there are fakes out there. you want someone who looks at the whole picture.

I dont know personally what they can do for tourrettes, but theres gotta be something. you need patience, though, and you need to follow the directions of the doctor, in order to see results.

wishing you only hatzlacha! Smile

Are you in Brooklyn,op?
There is a doctor, Dr. Tabick he might be able to help.
He is a brain stem specialist- specific chiropractor.
I know he studied neurology.
I'm not sure he can help but he's helped many people with neurological problems.
It's definately worth a try, if he can't help he'll tell you so, and won't waste your time nor his-he's honest.
Hatzlacha raba.
