Well, for some of us pictures of food are so exciting they're practically [filthy], so I think it makes total sense.

I refer to cooking blogs as "food [filth]."

I like cats. And why are you trying to be nasty. We were joking about obscure names. Right now the cat is still being referred to as "Fluffy."

Another example of amother being nasty and getting away with it. I'm going to respond to her.

I was trying to be funny. Sorry I offended you.

Oops -- I take back that egg-sucking thing. I thought avigailmiriam might be right, and you weren't being nice. But I often misfire with my jokes (or people can't tell) so I totally understand. Don't suck an egg, please. Stay well.

My parents cat was Pushkin (the Russian poet) but he was male, so I guess that's not appropriate.
As for Pesach, the rav told my parents that most dry cat food is only kitniot not chametz, and that they are fine to use as long as my parents didn't eat it too!!!!

Enjoy Fluffy. Oh, & get her plumbing re-routed or you'll end up with a lot of mini-Fluffies. I think your DH is really sweet!! |
I thought this was a problem b/c we couldn't do this to animals??? What do I know? | It's a problem to spay or neuter our animals? Don't tell Bob Barker! |
It's a halakhic issue. We'll sell the cat to our landlords for long enough to get it done. Our landlords, wonderful people that they are are wonderful about this sort of thing; we sold the contents of our fridge to them last Pesach. |
I think males are more of a problem. my parents always had one cat at a time, who was female and they did spay them. one time my mother felt bad so she let the cat have one lot of kittens and then spayed her.
I am so not a pet person, never bonded with our household cat, maybe if she would have been cute and fluffy. We do have a hamster now, but my kids beg me daily for a dog or cat.

I love cats (obviously!)...but a sweet name for a girl cat I heard recently is Toula. Short for Chatoula, of course! It's not going to win any points from your college professors, but it is cute!

You should have seen it when I was making the avatar... the photo is very large, I got the jelly spot and it looked like another part of a woman's anatomy... |
I was reprimanded on another site for using a Georgia O'Keeffe as an avatar.

lucky she was "amother" ... what if there's a meet and you decide to throw your rotten eggs at her simply because she HATES CATS ...
she even came up with smart names ... ones which you can't use now !!!
(don't worry amother you can pay me in booze for the defense)

We've actually settled on gattina, which is Italian for kitten. (I'm bilingual and DH speaks quite a bit. We're hoping to teach the cat to listen to commands in both languages.)

it will listen to commands in any language !
However gettinga cat to obey you is like getting water to flow upstream. Cats do what they want. They are cute and furry and can be cuddly - but only on their own terms
Behatslacha with your training program !
