We are both more than capable of caring for a cat. My husband has the good sense to realize that my desire for a cat is one we can manage, while my desire to move to places south that are warm is not practical.

Not much. We wouldn't have gotten the animal if we couldn't have afforded it. It'll be a pain during Pesach when we need to feed her fish but otherwise we'll be just fine.

just make sure with a name like - fluffy-wuffy she doesn't start barking ... I only like pets if they belong to other people - so guess what dd has 2 kittens ... so I guess they don't belong to me Confused

but they sure keep my feet warm & cozy ... not to mention bark ... Wink

Are we really discussing the practicality of cat ownership? She didn't adopt a koala, here.

Cats -- a reasonably priced way to enjoy the love of an interesting and adorable animal. I loved my cat more than words can say.

Whatever the figure is, I hope you enjoy her. I am surprised people think that of all people, you are not being practical. Let them try living on your budget for a year and you'll have them straight on who the queen of practicality is.

I feel very silly being called the queen of practicality when I had cookies and donuts for dinner. It seems silly.
