Right now, I'm just referring to her as, "Who's my little fluffy? Who's my little fluffy-wuffy?"

Aw, how sweet of him. Given your education, I'm guessing you'll give it a name that has to do with some incredibly obscure historical fact?

"We've named her Blahblahblini, you know, that famous twelve century Venetian figurine sculptress."

"We're going to call her Yaddayaddamimi, after that sixth century vestment designer."

Or, given your post above mine, I guess Fluffywuffy would do.

I actually told DH I wanted to name our cats after humanist thinkers (actually, I said that about our children one too). Unfortunately, most of them were male. So I'm trying to decide which of the, like 3, female humanist thinkers is my best choice.

If I can't come up with a name, we're calling her Plonit. Or we'll just give her a boy's name and call her Pietro Bembo.

Pietro Bembo--Venetian Historian; I wrote my fir MA thesis on him.

Marsilio Ficino--Florentine Humanist thinker and politician.

I have to put my useless humanities degrees to good use!

Lol, indeed. DH knows to just smile and nod when I start talking about my thesis. He's such a good husband, really.

Update: the kitten has so far

1. Attempted to climb my floor-length skirt.

2. Taken a flying leap off my desk to catch the fringes on my tichel; she missed terribly and fell on the floor.

3. Tried to jump onto a 5-foot high shelf of a bookcase. She overshot and crashed to the ground.

4. Attempted to join my husband in the shower; and she threw a tantrum when he kicked her out.

5. She is currently trying to kill a moth that got in here.

I had one all my life until I went to college and DH getting me one is the best present ever. The kitten is sitting on my shoulder as I type.

DH is already calling the kitten, who seems to be cute, loving and fuzzy, but very clever, "Idiotface." He is being very silly.

Your pup is so cute. My kitten is teeny tiny and all black.

GET ONE! Toy poodles and cats often do just fine together.

My pup has grown a little though, especially his face. When he turned 3 months past friday he had tons of hair... so he got his first haircut, which they did very ugly Sad

That's a shame. I believe more people should have small fuzzy animals in the house. They ar a good thing.
