I married into a very traditional Sefardic family and no one told me anything about mustard. So no answer from me but I'd be interested in learning more about where the minhag came from.
Maybe just call the woman and ask if she has an aversion to mustard.

please, nobody make fun of this. if you 'don't believe in it then just ignore.
there are certain hanhagos that are brought down about what a woman should/should not eat when pregnant. some of these foods are given reasons why. My husband told me that it says that if you eat mustard when pregnant, your baby will 'smell bad'. So in short, I don't eat mustard for the duration of my pregnancies, if I can avoid it. If you want the source I can try to ask my husband.

I'm sephardic ,pregnant and have loved mustard this pregnancy !!!
I had no Idea about the minhag ...
I guess I will have a "stinky baby" HVS .....LOL
do not worry ,but it is kind of you to be sensitive to people's minhag.
