I need to give my mother, shviger and grandma an 8x10 pic from my wedding. The thing is that I need to get a really pretty one- not like stam a wooden frame... but since I haveta get 3, (and I want it to be the same, since all three have some weird competition going on) I really can't afford too much. but I've looked so many places online (I don't have time to run around), and I still can't find anything reasonably priced. I don't want to spend more then $10 each. is that realistic?
here's where I've looked:
ebay (of course)
craigslist
BB&B (bed bath & beyond)
peir one
target (I might've found, but their selection has like 3,000!!)
pottery barn

at least maybe from my list- you'll get an idea of my kind of style. I'm looking for a silver modern look. I like to keep it simple, since I want the focus to be the picture...

I get my nicest picture frames from CVS. They sell them in the aisle where they sell scissors, glue, etc, and usually that is the same aisle as where they sell small electronics, and hardware. I usually get them for like 7.99.

Another place to try is national wholesale liquidators. or you can try amazing savings but Ive never found really gorgeous ones there, but at N.W.L. I have

I second Marshalls. You have to check back often since the selection is always changing, but I have got some gorgeous frames from them.

I thought I was clear: I don't have time to shop around... my only way would be via internet. I don't have a car, so Amazing Savings is out of the question, there is no CVS around where I work or live. all I have is Rite Aid, and I already checked out their stuff (when I wanted to develop my pix). they only sell wooden ugly ones...
I hope I don't come off as ungrateful and grumpy... I'm just having a bad day...

I got my most beautiful frames from Target. I have my wedding ones from there - they maybe were a bit more $14? But, they're beautiful. But, I didn't get plain silver, I got something more elaborate. I would say, go check there again. They're also really good quality, where I find from other stores, particularly drug stores, they're not of the same quality.

Here are a few sites: ArtCity, Displays2Go. Also try Amazon. I saw quite a few nice frames there (just some examples: frame 1, frame 2, frame 3)

Another vote for CVS and they sometimes go on sale, so I would wait for that.

I agree with you 100%...frames cost way too much money. I can't sell any artwork unless the art is framed-and matted. It's so discouraging. Mazal tov on your marriage Very Happy Aren't simchos the best reason to get annoyed? It's better than other kinds of aggravation. Ditto for family competing over who loves you more! The parents and in-laws do eventually grow-up. I'm talking from personal experience, here.
