Our peeler got thrown away with the potato peels last week so I'm using a knife to peel all of the potatoes this week. If she posts the recipe and it looks good enough, I think I'll take two shots/potato.

It's in one of the Kosher by something.
I take 4 sweet potatoes, peel and slice in strips. I bake them on a greased cookie sheet, at 425 for about 20 min. Just until it starts to get tender.
In a small pot, melt 4 T. marg, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 T. vanilla extract (PURE) and 1/4 cup Jack Daniels.
Cook over a low heat until melted and starts to thicken (enjoy vapors)
Place sweet potatoes in a baking pan and pour sauce over them. Bake at 375 for about 40 min. basting during the cooking. These are really amazing.

am I truly the only one who finds it easier to peel with a knife? I feel like that story in "All for the Boss" where Ruchama's father tried to buy peelers and kitchen gadgets for his wife. she tried for 2 minutes, then tossed it aside and took her knife back. I'm so awkward with a peeler!!!

LOL, I've been peeling with a knife my entire life. That's one way my MIL knew I fit right in.
My iced tea is fine until I have to add the lemon juice and sugar. Then it's all downhill from there.

so long as nobody divorces you over it - you'll be fine
how about making lemonade cause that is easy - then a pitcher of tea then mixing them together ... I wonder if that would make it easy to do ...
lemonade
1/2 cup real lemon
1/2 cup sugar
3 1/4 cups water
I would add a quart of tea - see how it taste - then you can always add more plain tea if necessary

I don't know. I've tried a few online recipes and didn't like any of them. I decided to start doing this because it cuts down on our seltzer consumption which is the only drink I buy, and iced tea is cheaper, and I wanted to incorporate green tea into our diet. Except I can't get it right. I just have to keep trying.

greenfire, I actually took your idea to do 1/2 and 1/2 sugar and lemon juice and it came out like lemonade with just a hint of tea in it.
Thanks.
