picture frames or serving utensils are always a nice safe go.

either for bathroom or kitchen...
Bathroom: fill a pretty wastebasket with rolled towels, candle and soap
Kitchen; breadbasket with rolled kitchen towels, small utensils, magnet clips,
or you could go really practical by filling a basket with rubber gloves, sponges, dish soap, etc. I know I would love that....

A brichas habayis in a nice frame. someone gave my mother one on parchment paper with a really nice frame.
You can get them a mezuzah that is always needed since it gets quite costly when buying so many.
basketfull of good smelling scented items for the bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen so on and so forth.
