I was leaving a grocery store today and my fabulous 2 yr old was having a melt-down. he was kicking, screaming, hitting and scratching me. this lady came up to me with a concerned look and said, "excuse me ma'am, is this your son?" and I said, "yes," and she said, "I just wanted to make sure, because he's doing what I told my children to do if they were getting abducted!"
I told her that I appreciated her concern (and I really did), but that he truly was mine and just having a tantrum!

I bet she told that to her children that were a bit older. Two year olds prob are too young to act that way on command. But how did she know you were telling the truth? It takes guts to do that and I commend her, wish there were more like her in true abduction cases.

This is funny, because I always wonder what people think if I need to carry my tantrum-ing toddler when I'm out.

I was once pushing a two year old in a stroller. He was screaming because he refused to walk or sit in the stroller. He wanted me to carry him. So I strapped him in and started walking. A lady driving by stopped and said, "I saw him with his mouth open and I couldnt tell if he was crying or choking (without me knowing)"

Who would want to abduct a tantruming toddler? Personally, If I were going to steal someone else's child I would choose a nice quiet one. :-)
