I don't understand hurricane season is from June-November
oranges are harvested in the fall(the reason they go on sale in January is because many oranges need to sit off the tree for a few months other wise they are to bitter to eat)
Wouldn't they know by November that there is a shortage of oranges? Why now?

US prices have always have been lower compared to Israel. Always. Don't you see something is very wrong?

The US government subsidies the farmers plenty. They just don't subsidies for healthy food. They subsidies grains that become cheap cereals and snacks. If they would subsidies eggs and fruits and veggies it would be a very different looking country.
