Baby monitor that will reach to neighbor house

My friend left a baby monitor with a neighbor. She came home to a dead baby, hatzolah, and police. She went through a nightmare with CPS, her kids were placed with their grandparents for 2 years.
Don't do it. Your kids are worth more than that. Hashem entrusted us with our children, it is our responsibility to keep them safe. Get an actual human babysitter.

no one knows how close her neighbor is.
It might be closer than if she lives in a three floor house and is in the basement and her baby is on the second floor. it would take faster to get in from the neighbor than to get up two flights.

most of our life is NOT spent in emergency.
Most of the time you have a babysitter, and your baby is sleeping, the babysitter is doing nothing.

We don’t have to live our lives in a state of worst case scenario

A babysitter in the house would've prevented the CPS case because the children wouldn't have been left home unattended. CPS got involved because the children were home unattended. A monitor is not a babysitter.
And if a babysitter would've been in the house, the sitter might have been able to hear the baby grunting & struggling to breath.

It may not have prevented the death. But had the baby been put to sleep in a neighbor's house, or a human sitter been in the baby's home, it would have been a tragedy but not all the CPS etc.

Asking a sincere question here.
If my baby monitor reaches my neighbor (we live in smushed together small townhouses and we share a wall), is it really such a big deal? I don’t use it as a babysitter, but if my baby (not newborn) is taking a nap and I need to pick up a kid from a play date which is 10 minutes total what’s the harm in leaving the monitor by my neighbor? She would be able hear an alarm through it.
To the poster who knows someone that had it end in a tragedy ch’v, what was it? If a parent was downstairs and lo aleinu baby had something silent happen to them the result would be the same.

Oooommmggggg cmon everyone pleeeaase. I wasnt asking for opinions from y'all; I asked for a product reccomendation.

what do all you brilliant peopl reccomend in the below scenario:
I am going to a wedding thats a 2+ hour drive from my house; leaving 3pm and getting home probably 1-2am.
My husband needs to daven maariv; no he doesnt believe in skipping minyanim.
The closest babysitter lives a 4 min drive away and nobody is available to drop her off/pick her up
My husband needs to drive to pick her up; there isnt another option.
Neighbors house is a few feet away, and she is happy to have the monitor on.
It would literally take her the same amount of time to get to my house as it would take me to get up to my third floor from doing laundry in the basement. Probably faster, cuz I dont bring the a baby monitor with me every time I go to the basement.
I simply don't believe that leaving the monitor with her for 8 min is being irresponsible.
There are many many many more things we do in our day to day life that are significantly more dangerous, but we cannot live in wrapped in a plastic bubble. Thanks for all your concern

Now, any reccomendations?

There are 2 locked doors between your house & your neighbors. There are no locked doors in your own home.
You can send the sitter home with a taxi or arrange a car ride for her.
