Frum Compatible Vacation destinations

I would say San Diego or Los Angeles.
But not now... definitely not now. Fires keep erupting but BH smoke is not too bad as winds are blowing it away from us.

I would actually go winter break next year.
Weather is fantastic: typically not too cold or wet.
Gorgeous breathtaking hikes (if not burnt out). Lots of nature once you get out of the city.
Winter doesn't have too scantily clad women outside. Even walking on the beach isn't usually too bad in January when it is cold out.

LA: more food, minyanim. So much to do. Museums, drive to a number of theme parks, botanical gardens, aquarium of Pacific, zoo...

San Diego: more laid back but enough to fill a vacation or two! USS Midway museum (a museum on Midway on a real decommissioned navy vessel!), 2 world class zoos, sea world. Legoland. Food- a few places and the Ralph's in LA Jolla has a huge kosher take out section.

If youre even considering it, then
Baseball games are somewhat community dependent.

I recommend you speak to.yoir sons rebbe for advice.

My husband (n his 40s) grew up going to baseball games as did my family.
Those of us n Lakewood dont take our kids as it is frowned on in the schools to go and to follow sports in general (I send to a "baalebatish" school and even there most kids dont).

Our siblings in baltimore take their kids to games and it seems common to follow sports in the younger grades.

If youre going to take ds to a game, go in the spring when its still cold.

Lake george is nice, though maybe far from Baltimore.

Theres a (big) minyan in the summer beun hazmanim.

I dont know about food. We almost always bring our own and grill, use a griidle/betty crocker. (Btw, eatng out is a HUGE expense so plan for that if thats what you are doing)

Another option is Tannersville which is in the edge of the jewish catskills but has a lot of its own amenities.

Poconis/scranton (I think the kosher food is in a different town).

Posters mentioned arizona or las Vegas.bit will be hot! But you can get a good deal on a beautiful airbnb with a poool and also take day trips to see out of this world nature.

Denver also beautiful.

The voice of lakewood does features every summer on places to go. Maybe google that.

lancaster is a great family friendly vacation.
we did it this past summer, with ages (all girls) 12-2
we did Hershey park one day
amish town
corn maze, a hike,
we made a bbq in the park
we found a boating place and went boating
you could also do Dutch Wonderland (not the water park if your concerned about tznius)
you could do Digger land.

There are tons of options in terms of attractions.
If you are going for multiple days, I would suggest looking into an Airbnb, possibly with a pool.
That way you have areas to spread out, access to a kitchen so you could prepare food.

It should be fine unless a fire close to there starts up. Besides Eaton and Pallisades most have been out in 1-2 days, sometimes within hours.

I don't think many from the LA area are evacuating to San Diego. Some frum people did for the first few days when schools were canceled, more of the community was in mandatory or voluntary Evac zones...
BH it isn't normal but it is a lot less intense or scary. The beeps on my phone from watch duty app are more likely to tell me about news conferences/updates rather than new fires.
