My preteen daughter developed pandas 2-3 years ago, and had sudden onset OCD. We've tried a bunch of things to treat the pans/pandas but ultimately she still suffers from OCD in specific things.
She recently asked me how she's going to get married like this....I need to help her!
I know ERP therapy has a good success rate for OCD but who in Lakewood actually does this? Can it be done via zoom? I'm really at a loss.
Please share your experience.

You can start with reaching out to the author of the book The Taharas HaMishpacha workshop.
Email address is in the book.

I also know 2 expert therapists in this area but not in Lakewood but they will do zoom or Skype.

Reply to this thread for more info.

Mirel Goldstein does iCBT, which I prefer for OCD that's connected with pandas.

She works virtual in New Jersey. I wouldn't be so excited about doing ERP virtually, but ICBT you can do virtually.

You can call Relief for references. They were very helpful when I needed a therapist for a different type of issue.

Chavy Lowy specializes in OCD, though don't know if there are differences when from PANDAs. She was trained by Meshulam Epstein, who is an expert on treating OCD. She's in Lakewood area

I found homeopathy excellent for my child's ocd brought on by pandas (went to excellent full time homeopathic practitioner - not fiddling with it on my own) . Saw progressive improvement in ocd pretty much from the week she started. It took close to a year to completely resolve but there was noticeable improvement from the first week and progressively over time with tweaks. Had previously tried erp without success.

I would recommend doing both. Or homeopathy and add on erp if still needed after a few months.

Sorry, just saw this now.
Dr Jonathan Schwartz
And
Dr Elyssa Kushner
Are both specialists in anxiety and ocd.
I don’t know if they deal with pandas and I don’t know if they work with tweens.

Hatzlacha it’s not easy

We tried Resilience Homeopathy for a few months because I kept hearing food things about them. Helped somewhat with he mood but not OC can you share which remedy worked for your child? And which practitioner you used?

Dr Ezra Cowan treats OCD with ERP. He works sometimes in Howell and over Zoom. he also has a lady clinician he has trained who does it over Zoom.
Relief highly recommended him but maybe give them a call as it wasn't from Pandas.

Can you share which homeopath you used? I'm looking for someone to help with pandas. Thank you!

Were with RN for more than 2 years and ocd is still not totally gone. But LDN has made a significant difference too.
