Adding in- I'd be happy to help out if that would make this more accessible for me.

Helping with the registration or coordination- I'm pretty good at that kind of stuff. I can help out with the technical parts. I'd even babysit during the Shabbos if I can babysit half the time and go to the shiurim the other half... etc.

That;s not what I said.

I said I'd love to go to a nice Shabbaton and am asking if anyone knows of any that are more affordable.

Sorry, my bad!

It likely won’t get cheaper than $1600 bec it needs to cover cost of hotel, food, speaker and make a profit.

There are a couple of programs coming up for midwinter (week of Feb 1), look in the jewish publications, but usually the kind of program that you want is only in the summer. That being said you probably could call the Armon in Stamford or Sleepy Hollow in Tarrytown if there are any programs that you can join, just for meals

I wonder if a lot filled up bec no one is advertising.

These are hotels without inspiration. Prob cheaper programs. Some are diy. Some catered.

I’d prob wait for after mid winter and see what is advertised then.
