My kids brand new tops after one wash it comes out with oil stains. anyone know why or how I can prevent it from happening?

Always check for oil stains when removing kids clothes ; )
Wet the garment. Rub a bit Dawn dish soap onto the stain with your hands. Let sit for 15 minutes, then scrub out the oil stains with a toothbrush. Rinse out all soap before washing in machine (the suds stop HE machines from working).
If this is not a fresh stain, you may want to let it sit overnight and wet and scrub whenever you pass by.

It happend to a brand new top that I prewashed before wearing
