Just wondering how common it is to get online/phone orders. I used to do it myself but now I’m pregnant and exhausted so we started doing delivery, but it comes out way more expensive. If you can also share where you live in the world that would be helpful!!!!

I do 95% instacart: aldi and costco. I only buy very few items in kosher store in person. I find the fees to be minimal since im saving time and money by not going to the stores myself. BH full time working mom who lives in the city without easy access to a car, instacart is a game changer in terms of not having to go after work, or go out in the heat or the cold or the rain. aldi and costco are also really cheap
OP where do you shop?

I order almost everything online. Most of my groceries are Walmart with delivery, kosher store I order online for pickup, and one bakery I do a phone order and pickup (every few months).

Grocery is really close to where I live. Less than a 5 min walk. I walk to the grocery and choose my items. If I can, I take when I need home and the rest is delivered.

I live OOT and drive so I shop in person. I get the most at my large chain store that has a large kosher section, some stuff at trader joes and some items at the local kosher only store.

The local supermarket is a 7 minute drive. I go in person once a week.
We live directly across from the makolet. If we need anything midweek we just go there.

It's helpful to me to see what types of things are kosher and worth getting there. I want to start shopping this way but I need a clue. I can't afford trial and error rn.

NYC - I live less than a block away from the supermarket so we always go in person. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of cooking, realize I need an onion, and my husband or I will run out and be back in five minutes. I do delivery from Walmart or Costco for large bulk items like a 20 lb bag of rice, or flour, sugar etc.

there are photos of every time so you can see if there’s a hechsher. my non jewish neighbor does sometimes benefit from a photo being out of date but most often the kosher signs are visible. also there are ‘kosher costco’ and ‘kosher aldi’ groups on facebook that are helpful

In person with delivery. Online when I absolutely can’t get to a store but I know they will get some items wrong, produce will be rotten, and things will be missing.

I prefer shopping in-store and I usually take my stuff with me in my car (monsey)
Lately, with life being extra hectic, I really appreciate online orders.

I voted in person but it’s really this. Can be a number of weeks in a row (postpartum, busy season at work), to once in a few months, and everything in between
