I currently have a large container where I keep large packets of open chips/pretzels/cookies etc. but it's getting a little out of hand. Anyone have ideas for the best way to maintain this on a deep shelf?

I'm thinking to do several flat'ish containers with lids but wondering how practical that would be.

A staple in my kitchen is rubber bands to secure things. And clear bins, usually no lid since its not realistic for me to fit only to the lid/top.
And by category. Some are shoebox size let's say for nuts & seeds. Some are bigger ie one for nosh. One for crackers/ rice cakes etc.

But only clear bins as its really helpful to see at a glance what's what

I always put open bags in bread bags so they don't spill everywhere

Thanks. Because the shelf is so deep, the back gets a mess. Any ideas?

This is 16 inches deep/long and 6 inches wide. Place your open large snack bags single file style, one in back of the other. Pull forward to find/choose the bag you're looking for.

Rubber bands around every opened bag. This works great for us.

I find clips to be better than rubber bands to secure the top of open large bags. Clips are easy to take on and off versus rubber bands.

In terms of organization I have large clear plastic bins and I put them in there.

If you want to invest a bit of money retrofit with pullout shelves. I have a mixture of deep drawers and shelves and all of my lower cabinet shelves have pullouts but I also use bins.

My pantry has pull outs on all of the shelves - upper and lower but the rest of the kitchen only has shelves in the upper cabinets where I store glasses and items like that.

Why rubberbands when you can use clips?
Clips are such a great invention!

1- put them into a large ziplocks with the original bag
Or
2-Portion the snack into small ziplocks, ready to grab. And you don’t have large open bags. I put them into baskets that I bought in the dollar tree.
