I don’t know of any organizations but I once emailed one of the day camps asking for a discount and they gave me one

This is why many people choose to work low income jobs such as teaching. I can’t afford to have to pay for health insurance because we ended up so much in debt so quickly so we are stuck with Medicaid and just paying out of pocket when we need something not covered or a different doctor who doesn’t take it. Even when it was $30 copays per visit and $20 per medicine, that easily was over $1000 a month besides what we were paying each month and deductible. It was impossible unless we increased our income by at least $200,000. Making $20-50k over the poverty line isn’t worth anything.

Here's the thing: people who are "middle class" based on outdated pre-inflation numbers are poor working class in the here and now.

Instead of reducing the help they give the people who are even below the outdated poverty line, people should help working class people instead of pretending they are are middle class just because someone with their income a few decades ago would have been. Schools should offer a sliding scale for tuition. The government should reassess the eligibility for programs. Organizations should offer their services. And in turn, people who need the help should accept it.

Government reassessing eligibility might happen but I doubt it'll help frum middle-class people. Because if all these frustrated posters didn't have to pay 10s of thousands of dollars in tuition they'd be living like the middle class should and wouldn't have financial worries.
