I need a recommendation for a nutritionist in Lakewood that takes insurance.
I have a few medical considerations for creating a diet plan, so I need someone who has a lot of knowledge, more than just creating a food plan based off a premade plan (I had a bad experience with this previously). I need someone to help me with accountability too.
Any good suggestions?

You need a Registered Dietitian, not a Nutritionist.
A Nutritionist has no oversight and is not a licensed term. Your neighbor’s cat can call itself one. Insurance will not pay for such either.
A RD is potentially covered by insurance-depending on if she chooses to be contacted and what your diagnosis is. She went to school, did a minimum of a 900 hour internship in different areas, took boards, and keeps up with continuing education. She is skilled in Medical Nutrition Therapy and different disease states, rather than getting her information off the Internet.
If you feel like I’m on a soapbox, that’s OK. I have a masters degree and I work really hard and take my profession very seriously. It is insulting when the two are conflated. You wouldn’t do that with other professionals.

Please accept my apologies on the miswording. Do you have any recommendation of a RD?
