A close friend is looking for a nice wedding hall for 250 people, mixed seating, no Mechitza needed, within 35 miles of NYC.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We looked into a couple of places along the Hudson River, peirmont, nyack, and some hotels also ... we were more people and the dance floor would have been too small, but not sure the dancing style is different when you have mixed dancing so then you won't need mechitza and maybe a smaller dance floor can work.

OP asked about mixed sitting, I would assume there's separate dancing, especially on this forum

Yes smaller dance floor can work.

Please offer any names of nice and relatively affordable halls, that you can remember.

Feel free to pm me.
I looked into about 20 venues about a year and a half ago.
I don’t know her price point and what is reasonable to one, is cheap to another, and way too expensive to a third.
I hesitate to put the info out there in such a way that it now cheapens someone else’s wedding.

There are many more… all depends what you mean by reasonable. These halls range from about 40-90, some also offer packages

Ateres Chynka will not be okay with mixed seating and no mechitza.

They’re definitely okay with mixed seating, not sure about nechitza. Planned a simcha there in the summer with mixed seating

They’re definitely ok with mixed everything. Not sure about pricing but worth looking into.

Is this friend frum? I’ve been to many mixed weddings but never without a mechitza. It’s not okay and I’m not sure why it’s allowed on this site to even ask

It’s like asking for chicken mac and cheese recipes. It’s not allowed, we should not be discussing it

Why? She posted it. Im not saying my own personal opinion about whether something should be done. Its assur and it should not be asked on a website for FRUM women only
