What would you let your kids watch? They watch maybe 1 movie a year.
I was going to let them have a movie night tomorrow because we have been going through a lot in our family and I wanted to treat them.
What clean old school movie would you let them watch? Oldest is 8.

The Lion King
Pixar movies like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars, and Inside Out
The oldies are usually better.

I like the idea for American Tail, it's about a "Jewish family" of mice, it's very cute & def old school.

If more modern, I like Finding Nemo & Cars too, they have some cute messages ie Cars the main character is humbled from fame to loyalty to friends, gratitude & hard work. And Finding Nemo, the love & dedication of a father.
But not old school & risk of these imho is upping the bar of expectations & so older movies will seem more boring in comparison. With younger kids I'd personally try to start with the older ones, less stimulating & more time to pause, more wholesome content & songs, & no innuendos mixed in like even sweet Pixar ones can have.

Noting there are two Willie Wonkas. The newer one, which is approximately from 2008 is very dark and creepy.

Chitty chitty bang bang - such an oldie but goodie. When my kids were little it was one of the only secular movies they watched.
