1- Which is the most user friendly Light Box?
Which Light Box are they using in the video?
Is it this one?
https://www.utrechtart.com/items/55348-1123/
2- Whats the largest Strainer & Bowl I can use for "Thrip Cloth Insect Checking" with the Star K cloth (thats not that big and has to overlap the strainer and bowl)?
I like to check large quantities at a time, and the strainer and bowl combination I use, doesnt fit that much.
Anyone uses a big bowl and strainer?
3-- Star K Tutorial says to use "16 Micron Mesh" as the cloth.
Can I get that on Amazon, if I want to get a large roll, and not just one piece of cloth?

Thanks.
I was aware that I can buy the thrip cloths from Star K, but I was thinking Id like to get that fabric (its 16 micron someone said) elsewhere and make the cloths slighty larger.
I was aware that Star K sells a light box for $65, but I wonder if I can get that specific one cheaper, elsewhere, or a better quality one, maybe on Amazon.

was told to look for any artist light box. It's more like a light board.
And you can pour a lot of water through a small strainer. You don't need a big one to check more veg

I used to use a 3 piece bowl w strainer that was small, but in the video I watched, I see the bowl where you clean/soak the leafy greens, can be way larger than the strainer. So thats true.

What's the advantage of a thrip cloth over a paper towel?

Which Rabbi allows use of a paper towel rather than a thrip cloth?
Wouldnt pouring the contents of the water that the leafy greens were in, through the paper towel, either rip the paper towel, or not allow all the water to go through the paper towel?

No to both. The water goes right through and leaves all the garbage behind. It can be easily, although carefully, lifted from the strainer and looked at. I do it all the time and find bugs often enough that I'm quite confident the checking is being done properly.

That makes sense. I assume you use Bounty or some other paper towel that doesnt rip.
Has any Rabbi approved the use of paper towel? (I like the idea and Id do the same).

Thanks.
In 2019 I bougt this one. But I see on the checking videos, the Rabbis use a real box (higher) that may have stronger light, so Id like to get something better/brighter

I have no idea. The sefer I had said to use a white cloth and I thought this would work too, so I did it and it works.
