I'm trying to avoid having a pot to clean out.
Don't have a microwave.
Milky chocolate not officially made for baking if that makes a difference.

Do you have a milchig oven? Can put chocolate in a disposable 9x13 and cover the pan so it doesn’t burn. I do it on 250 for like 15 min and it works well

Nope. It's either pot or betty if it could work. I don't want to waste the chocolate so wanna see if anyone's done it.

Came to suggest this. This is how I always melt my chocolate. You can also do a bowl inside another bowl, with the lower bowl with the hot water. I find it melts much more evenly than using a microwave.
And if you're melting chocolate to pipe, I love using a bag, then cutting the corner and you have the bag ready for piping.

You can break it up, put it into a bowl, put some boiling water into another bowl and then place the chocolate bowl into the water bowl. Can even be done in disposable bowls. You may need to change the water depends how much your melting Learned this from a pro.
