Someone Braudie also gives out food right before shabbos. I believe it's leftovers like takeout from stores around town. Not sure location or number.

Don’t have her number but she should be listed Englard on Forest Ave (near 14th so address should be in the 1300s or 1400s).
ETA I don’t think it’s only Friday. Mrs. Englard is a doll and really does this to help people. It started years ago when the Cheder made lunches for lots of schools and playgroups. She would bring home the extras and give them to people who needed them. Over the years she started getting from all different places (caterers, groceries, etc.). She gets leftovers from simchas and damaged packages from groceries but she also gets lots of basics (flour, oil, potatoes) on a regular basis. I think some grocery owners give (some of) their maaser by donating staples to her.
(Btw she also works at the Mikva)
