In another thread someone said that in Frum videos for women the father is always dead
In Frum videos for men the mother is always in a mental home.

I don't watch Frum videos can some one educate me on what they teach?

These are not educational and I think some of my brain cells got wasted when I watched a frum video my kids were watching when their grandmother treated them to a rental.

It was so beyond being realistic and this was considered the top produced Jewish video...

I remember A Light for Greytowers nearly got banned when they found out an actual adult human male was playing the main character’s father, even though he never appeared on screen at the same time as the (unmarried, adult) actress playing his wife.

I find many of the “frum videos” to be mostly sensationalist drama, with enough “inspiration” to justify their existence to people who would balk at pure “entertainment”

Rachel Frankl makes videos that are more light and have good messages for kids and adults. My kids loved Anonymous Benefactor and The Runaways, and I actually enjoyed it too.

Yes but in both of these the father or mother or both parents are dead

I still found the stories well put together and more uplifting and lighthearted than most other ones out there. There are technically some males in one or 2 scenes, but yes definitely no men in actual roles. Maybe one day.

The other parent is either dead or absent always. Never heard of the mental home one and I’ve seen my fair share of men’s plays and movies.

I laughed once when the police officers showed up in skirts...

I don't watch often the men's stuff but if I'm correct they rarely mention the missing woman. I haven't watched a women's one in a while, but if I remember correctly they usually do have some explanation for the absence.

Toby Einhorn’s videos are amazing, professionally done and fabulous plots. The man either makes a very short appearance or is absent but not because he’s dead; he’s just not part of the storyline. They make it make sense. It’s possible.

It's hard...
People are not willing to invest so much in the heimish entertainment industry.
I wish we had better quality videos.
and the dead father doesn't bother me, as long as the plot is enjoyable.
