I thought about doing a drink for each shabbos night, especially now in the winter when it’s cold and it’s a long night.
Does anyone regularly make drinks (as in mixes) at home?

Why?
To OP, we use master of mixes to make cocktails on shabbos. We usually only end up doing it in the summer. It's refreshing in the heat. For winter Friday nights I would rather serve a hot drink like a cranberry apple tea.

I don’t like cocktails but often enjoy a glass of wine on shabbos night.

Heat up apple cider and serve with a cinnamon stick.

I understood question to be if op should start serving alcoholic cocktails on shabbos. No . Alcoholic cocktails are never a good habit to get into. If ops kids are little soon they wont be anymore and they will be drinking too then the drinking gets out of hand . Besides the effects on adults themselves...Why start? There is no need to have any hard alcoholic beverages in house for that matter.
Wine has an inyan in torah and halacha can be used and served in appropriate ways.
There is zero purpose to serving other alcoholic beverages in frum home in the name of shabbos

You're assuming that someone who makes cocktails on Shabbos will become an alcoholic and cause their children to start drinking alcohol as well? Why? Some people enjoy an alcoholic beverage without getting drink or anything getting out of hand.

Alcohol isn't inherently bad. One drink once a week is totally fine for most people.
All I've had is flavored beers or muscato. I'd love to try something fresh and fruity.
