I'm not into sweet ans love savory, so can skip the donuts after a mandatory plain one but latkes, mmmmmm
You need to take the plate off the table or I will finish them all one by one while everyone else is fressing on fancy donuts ;-)

I’m with you. I need a half a bite just to taste and that’s it. I cannot do more than that. I like the Israeli doughnuts with the Carmel inside but that’s basically it.

I am an over all healthy eater. If you are, your gut and taste buds have been wired to not appreciate junk. Yes donuts are junk. But my kids love them and it's one week of the year. We buy twice.

I love a cream cheese filled donut, have to stop myself from buying both for the price and the calories. Lemon is a close second. Specifically Evergreen/glicks had a nice variety of different interesting fillings but just a regular glaze on top so it was reasonably priced but still a lot of fun. We got a bunch of different ones cut them in quarters so we could try a few and they were a huge hit. Really fresh and good.

One can be a healthy eater and still appreciate the occasional sweets/junk. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Not just you, the little kids like the excitement of those doughnuts. Me and 3 friends can share one and still have leftovers....

Fresh donuts are best. Most of these fancy ones are mass produced and could be sitting around for a while until you eat them, and the fancy flavors are just flavored sickeningly sweet sugar.

I don't know why I missed out on this effect! I eat healthy and still absolutely love junk food. All kinds.
