Please do expand on this, as I am currently using them and have just developed preeclampsia, which puts me at high risk. I have never been to Jersey Shore either and am not sure about their level of care at all.

I don’t use Dr Surowitz but as far as Jersey Shore
I recently delivered there, I was hospitalized before delivery for a few days and had a high risk delivery so not a standard uncomplicated l&d
I had an AMAZING experience
My baby is still in the NICU there and we are thrilled with the level of care
I’ve had previous not amazing experiences with other depts in JS
But the l&d and neonatal team are TOPS
so so kind caring &competent in my experience
You may be delivered by a hospitalist or Resident because Surowitzs group is understaffed (the l&d nurses told me that!) the hospitalist I met was a sweetheart and so competent
And the resident who delivered my baby was amazing - I didn’t tear at all thanks to her! (Yes I know it was thanks to her)
Sorry I’m rambling I’m PP and exhausted. Tldr we were super happy in JS LOL

Either go to community to deliver and get a Dr on call or hope Dr Kugay isn't the Dr on call when u show up to jersey shore. U can ask for different Dr
When ur in labor u can call and ask who's on call for next shift

You can always ask for another doctor if you are not comfortable with her. See for yourself...she is about 75 and hands shake etc
