I was by this pre-chanukah gathering in Williamsburg, there were these very delicious
custard donuts there, but I don't know who bought it and from which Bakery it came from. Anyone knows what the top Bakeries for donuts are in Willi?

YOur best bet is to ask the hostess where she got her donuts from because there are many many options!

Isn't the best fancy donuts from Hava Java?

Ok sorry I don’t usually have access to Hava Java as they’re in Monsey, so didn’t count them, I do remember tasting one years ago but can’t remember.

That's what I did to find out that I love zommicks. I had them at a school chagiga, asked the secretary who orders the food, she gave me the phone number of the lady who does the bakery orders. I then called zommicks to find out where I can get them in monsey, which store sells them. They directed me to their distributor who told me that very few actually do, but now I know that bobov grocery sells them on rosh chodesh and on chanukka. I dont know any place that sells them year round.

When you find something you love, go after it!

I don't consider Hava Java "doughnuts". It's a layered cake or something. My kids don't like it, bh

If you would venture to Flatbush (gasp!!) the custard donuts at schreibers are my all time favorite. Not expensive. I don’t remember exactly what they costed last I bought them but probably around the $2 range. They also make fancy more expensive ones but I always revert back to my basic custard. Their custard and dough is like no other!!!

I had those once. They were tiny. No wonder they’re under $2. Smile
