What are some products that really made things easier for your newborns? Not diapers, wipes etc. Other not basic stuff...

None of these are must haves, but things that made my life much easier:

FridaMom Snot Sucker - baby lets me use this as opposed to tissues to wipe nose
Mustela diaper rash spray - much easier to apply than creams, and I imagine more lechatchila for shabbos
BabyBrezza bottle maker - ok this one was expensive but wow, what a game-changer
Formula sectioned dispenser - excellent for on-the-go

I’ll second all these. However I’ll add if you’re giving formula bottles then the Sectioned Dispenser is definitely a must have.

If nursing then the Boppy Pillow is an almost must.

Basic stuff is the same as must have items. You'll figure out the extras.
My tip: pacifier chain. Saves you money and frustration.

I’m a minimalist. I don’t believe in must haves
Newborns need
safe place to sleep
Infant car seat
Stroller or baby carrier or both
Clothes
Bottles/bips/burp cloths
Baby bath

I use and love baby Bjorn bouncer from birth

I love my Jujube bff diaper bag

I don’t use pacis or any silly bottle warmer or wipe warmer or anything

To file nails, have to still be careful, but more efficient & effective

Baby Nail Trimmer Electric,Baby Nail Clippers, 6 in 1 Baby Nail File,Nail File Baby Grooming Kit Manicure Set for Toddler or Adults

Also,I almost didn't get a changing table, but very glad I did, a sturdy kind with 2 levels below to store things. Good for my back, & to keep loads of things from diapers to wipes, tissues, gloves (which I use for soiled diapers), various creams etc etc

Really? I hated the boppy. Not thick/tall enough at all. I used two stacked pillows instead.

Yeah definitely the snot sucker (and saline drops), and a good baby carrier.
Also the miracle blanket. Only swaddle I found that really would stay in place (baby couldn’t get out of it and it didn’t ride up their neck).

Agree about the Velcro swaddles. Can’t be bothered swaddling correctly when I’m in an exhausted daze.
And a diaper genie when baby gets a little older.

I hated the sectioned dispenser. Not all the formula came out at once so when you shake it some of the formula from the other sections would come through so it was not the right amount going in the bottles. Also if it wasnt totally 100% dry if I missed a drop after I had washed it it would stick to the bottom

I used to use the dispenser and then someone gave me a tip to fill a 1 lb plastic container with formula and a scooper. I keep it in my diaper bag and always have formula with me without having to measure it in advance

A pack n play for my baby to have her space in the kitchen/dining room and the older toddlers won't bother her so her bouncer/swing and all her toys went in there
