A great new WhatsApp chat that sends out a weekly spotify playlist of songs connected to the parsha or haftarah!
To sign up for the whatsapp weekly playlist, go to parshaplaylists.com.

Or subscribe and share for the playlist on YouTube
Www.youtube.com/@parshaplaylists

Get into the spirit of the parsha and shabbos!

I posted about this on Friday. I signed up for it and enjoyed the songs.
However, I couldn't figure out what the connection to the parsha was for several of the songs.

I also signed up last week but I couldn't listen to them because I don't have spotify, so I can't comment (yet!).
I'm hoping that they'll get enough subscribers and do it on YouTube for people like me.

Obviously Last week there was es achai anochi mevakesh song... What others?

-There were 3 versions of Es Achai (I had only heard of one).
-2 songs called Yosef
-Cholem shel Yosef (Chanan Ben Ari)
-Asara Harugei Malchus (Lipa)
-Hashem has a plan (R Mordechai Dubin)
-V'aryeh Im Yishag (Mona)
-Al Tira Yisroel (Haim Israel)

And a few more

I understand the bolded.
Asarah harugei malchus is distant but related because connected to mechiras yosef.
