My mother, a"h used to say that sometimes spending more is an economy because you wear and wear and wear the garment. I just looked down and I am wearing the (perfect) denim skirt that I thought I spent too much on and a (perfect) black turtleneck. I wore this exact outfit 2x this week before today. I feel good in them, and they are very practical. If I had it to do over, I would buy a second one of each.
Do you have any garments like that?

I find the connection between how many times I wear it has nothing to do with how much it cost so I wear my $25 denim pencil skirt all the time so the cost per wear is mere Pennies

Some people keep a spreadsheet of all their clothes and how many times they've worn each to figure out the cost per wear. I can't relate to the need to do this but it IS a thing.

I would absolutely do that if I saw them again! I actually recently saw a new pair of my most used ( super comfy, polished-looking) shoes on ebay and bought them for when the current pair wears out!

I get bored of my stuff easily. Some expensive pieces I’ll put away for a rainy day, but in general, I like to change up my wardrobe. I also work so I could def not get away with something work twice a week.

I don't have a calculation, I would go crazy 😂

But I do use a digital closet app. It's annoying to set up but once u do it's so fun and it motivates me not to buy new clothes.

I can make outfits on the go and I don't need to sort through my entire closet to figure out what to wear.

Sure do, and am always sorry I didn't buy more. But at the time you never know how the item will work out. I also had expensive things I hardly wore and would have been better off without, as well as very inexpensive things that I Wore and wore till I was heartily sick of them.

EMEN, I did that for decades, more just to know how long I had something. About two years ago in a decluttering frenzy I got rid of it, and now I'm sorry. For example, One of my skirts recently gave up the ghost and, while I know it was old, IDK just how old. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, but I would have liked to know. I bought it well before COVID, but how much before? Five years? Ten? Fifteen?
