I wore what I had: my regular winter coat. Black, short, sporty, and far from new. Wedding was in another state and I may not even have known chuppah would be outdoors. Or if I did, how much could I bring , given airline baggage restrictions? Kallahs Mom didn't wear a coat at all but I preferred not to shiver. Kallah had borrowed the community-owned white fur cape and didn't wear it. It was winter and snowing. Ten years later, nobody cares. Ten DAYS later nobody cared.
