S/O Why does Pandas not exist in England?

Evidently then, people and kids in the US tend to get sicker and pick up more stuff due to the toll their systems take from the toxins in food and elsewhere.

Omg when my English bil got strep throat he was flat on his back sick sick sick. He always laughed that Americans are so weak that a little tonsillitis and they are hysterically ill.... until 15 years in he was 'zoicha' to for once feel it in his bones, (pun intended)

It's a whole other beast our strain of strep throat.

It's no secret, kids are always better behaved on pesach than on succos. I see a huge difference in my kids behavior and overall contentness on pesach. Heck, "I" feel so much better on pesach. (Minus the constipation. But even with that) spelt matzoh and basic homemade healthful foods will do a world of good for us all.

My niece was diagnosed in the UK with Panda I think over 7 yrs ago. She was treated and looked after by a whole team in a top hospital who were doing research on it and working on getting it more known and finding a cure.

Strep and tonsillitis is different.

That's because there is one frum pediatrician who has done the research and raised awareness of PANDAS in her community. If you are not part of that community, you probably wouldn't have heard of it.

Nah she raised awareness for a minority condition. I spoke to her she never meant for it to be taken out of context and used in ways she didn’t say. And right now it’s far from what she said.

Most also agree that when someone does get strep it is a totally different beast.
So I think for strep it's a combination of Americans calling every sore throat strep and England calling it all tonsillitis.
And pandas just leads on from that.
Maybe English antibiotics are stronger to begin with so less chance of pandas?

You realize that the antibiotics are $8 for a 10 day course?

If they see pus on your tonsils, they give antibiotics.

I just spoke to a private doctor about it he said there definitely is strep here in the UK

Thanks to the amazing NHS the doctors will just give antibiotics and not bother with tests
