On a side note, if this can be helpful, feel free to post what you're looking for- style/color/size/price range, and we can post a link to something affordable.

I’m not sure if this org is still in existence but there was an organisation called HOPE that was there to help out for short term job loss or other short term emergency situation.
I reached out to them 6 years ago when dh lost his job

Sorry I don’t have an anon email, also not comfortable posting the info publicly. Maybe you can pm a 3rd party, like a mod, who can pm me?

hi OP, depending on where you are in lakewood - and what kind of phone - you may be able to access a lot of free giveaways including food. usually there are neighborhood chats; ask around if anyone in your neighborhood can help you join one.

Was coming to post this, they helped us tremendously last year when we needed it. Also, try Serendipity for shoes. There’s also a $5 outlet for the shoe gemach on Jule Court (exact address in gemach message when you call) but that’s really a hit or miss. I found beautiful Shabbos shoes for all my kids there before YT, but I’ve been back since and it was much less stocked. Worth a try.

Also, don’t know if this is what you want to hear, but your dh can temporarily drive for Lakeway while looking for a job so he’s bringing in some income. He can work as much or as little as he wants and there’s zero commitment, so it’s perfect for someone who’s in between jobs.

Hatzlacha!
