Just for fun and to collect statistics

Which category do you pay more towards each month? See poll above

I know this varies based on where you live and number of kids. Feel free to comment below

OOT
Mortgage - <$15K/yr.
Tuition - $30K / yr

Four kids. Full tuition is about $12K/yr, but we get vouchers worth $6K for three of the kids. We bought our house 12 years ago for $225K with 20% down.

Mortgage $30k
Tuition $15k
4 kids bh for this because even with these “low numbers” and nice income we don’t really have extra.

Just my 2 BM boys alone are combined tuition more than my mortgage (which went up more than $100/month recently due to property tax increase)...

Your mortgage vs tuition payments is really going to depend on when you bought your house and how many kids you have.
We bought our house before covid which means we payed much less than the current market, plus we have an insanely low interest rate. With property taxes our monthly payment is right around $3,000.
We have 6 kids, k"h. If we payed full tuition for all of them it would be over $95,000. Right now we're paying about $54,000 per year total. We expect that to go up by $10,000 or more next year.

We bought our house 12 yrs ago, small out of town house.
If we would pay full tuition it would be double our mortgage!
We are both in Chinuch and BH get significant discount.
